Eastern Shore Ambulance Service Inc. was started in 1988 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia due to the need for non-emergency transportation of patients. At that time the volunteer fire departments were trying to provide non-emergency transportation as much as possible, but that was on a very limited case by case basis. We initially began serving the Eastern Shore of Virginia with a staff of two employees and a fleet of one ambulance.
Eighteen years later we now continue to serve the Eastern Shore of Virginia as well as the entire Tidewater area with a staff of over 100 employees, and a fleet of over 30 medical transport vehicles. We transport patients to and from doctor office visits, outpatient services, dialysis and radiation treatments, as well as to and from hospitals, both local and long distance. We are BLS and ALS certified, and our staff takes much pride and personal consideration in their jobs as well as patient care. We truly are "The Company that Cares". |
